Lifecycle & Reputation: Birth, Death, and Trust
1. Reputation (The Soul)
Trust is not a single number; it is a graph.
Architecture: EigenTrust / Web of Trust
- Scoped Reputation:
- "Swim Buddies" trusts Joe (Local Score: High).
- "OEM" doesn't know Joe (Local Score: Null).
- Generalized Reputation:
- Calculated by traversing the graph.
- If OEM trusts Swim Buddies, and Swim Buddies trusts Joe -> OEM partially trusts Joe.
- ZKP Privacy:
- Joe can prove "I have a Credit Score > 700" (Internal
irl.coopscore) to a stranger without revealing his transaction history.
- Joe can prove "I have a Credit Score > 700" (Internal
Restoration (Redemption)
- Decay: Negative marks fade over time (Forgiveness).
- Community Service: Doing "Dirty Work" quests (Cleaning the park, Moderating disputes) earns massive Reputation Points to offset strikes.
2. Group Dissolution (The Death)
Groups are ephemeral. Infrastructure is expensive. We need a "Graceful Death" process.
The "Living Will"
At creation, every group sets a Dissolution Policy:
- Assets: "Donate remaining funds to X" or "Distribute to Members".
- Data: "Delete everything" or "Archive to Cold Storage".
The "Purgatory" DAO (The Recycler)
When a group goes inactive (misses rent) or votes to dissolve:
- Transfer: Ownership of the Group (Contract/Assets) is transferred to the Purgatory DAO.
- Liquidators (Mediators):
- Role: Human agents who clean up the mess.
- Tasks:
- Sell physical assets (The shared truck).
- Cancel subscriptions (Twilio numbers).
- Migrate orphaned members to active groups.
- Incentive: They keep a % of the liquidated value (or flat fee from the group's "Death Bond").
- Archive: The group's history is zipped and stored in the "Library of Dead Coops" (S3/Filecoin), viewable but static.
3. Ephemeral vs. Permanent
- Ephemeral Mode:
- "Weekend Trip Group".
- Infra: Disposable. No phone number (or temp burner).
- End: Auto-dissolves after 7 days.
- Permanent Mode:
- "Swim Club".
- Infra: Durable.
- End: Requires Governance Vote -> Purgatory handoff.
